Penn Grade Crude Coalition released a report Tuesday in Harrisburg about the huge economic impact of the conventional oil and gas industry in the Commonwealth. Lawmakers and industry representatives praised the report as the first in-depth analysis of the full economic impact of the conventional shallow well drilling and production industry, founded in Pennsylvania more than 150 years ago. Rep. Kathy Rapp (R-Warren, Forest & Crawford), a member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives Oil and Gas Caucus, attended the event and offered comments on the significance of the report.
Rep. Rapp Comments on Pennsylvania Open Workforce Initiative - 3/22/2017
A package of legislation designed to protect the rights and freedoms of employees in Pennsylvania was introduced in Harrisburg on Wednesday. The Pennsylvania Open Workforce Initiative package of bills would give employees the right to opt in or out of union membership and would prevent compulsory or “fair-share” union dues by employees who may not support the political activities of their industry’s union.

House Passes Bill to Ban Dismemberment, Late Term Abortions in PA - 6/22/2016
Legislation designed to modernize the Commonwealth’s outdated Abortion Control Act received overwhelming support from the Pennsylvania House on Tuesday. House Bill 1948, which passed with bipartisan support, would prohibit abortions after 20 weeks, and ban the practice of dismemberment abortions. Bill sponsor Rep. Kathy Rapp (R-Warren, Forest & Crawford), said she is proud of how many members voted for the sanctity of human life. House Bill 1948 now moves to the Senate for consideration. Rep. Rapp Speaks at State Capitol Rally in Favor of Bills to Ban the Practice of Dismemberment Abortions in PA - 6/8/2016
Members of the Pennsylvania Pro-Life Federation rallied Tuesday in the state capitol in support of legislation that would ban the practice of dismemberment abortions. The event, billed as the ‘Stand Up for Life’ rally, featured comments from state lawmakers who have sponsored bills specifically aimed at eliminating the procedure in Pennsylvania. Rep. Kathy Rapp (R-Warren, Forest & Crawford), prime sponsor of House Bill 1948, addressed the gathering and urged quick consideration by the General Assembly of any legislation that would bring an end to this form of abortion.
