WARREN — Rep. Kathy Rapp (R-Warren/Crawford/Forest) announced today that 33 fire departments and ambulance organizations throughout Crawford, Forest and Warren counties have been awarded more than $345,300 from a grant program administered by the Office of the State Fire Commissioner.
“I think we can all agree that our fire and ambulance services are essential to the health and safety of our communities, yet they continually struggle to afford the equipment, training and facilities needed to operate,” said Rapp. “That is why this grant program is so important for the hundreds of volunteer companies all across the Commonwealth. This funding helps ease the financial burden these companies are constantly dealing with. It is one way we, as a state, can give back and help support the valuable services our volunteer emergency responders provide.”
