Rapp Refuses to Give Wolf Blank Check for Higher Spending, Tax Increases
HARRISBURG — Rep. Kathy Rapp (R-Warren/Crawford/Forest) issued the following statement regarding her opposition to the $31.63 billion general fund budget (Senate Bill 1071) due to the $1.6 billion spending increase over last year’s enacted budget.

“I cannot support a $1.6 billion spending increase that is five times higher than the rate of inflation, population growth and, especially five times higher than individual taxpayers’ ability to pay. What the citizens of the 65th Legislative District can least afford is trusting this governor with a blank check for astronomical spending and unaffordable tax increases both now and in the future.”
