Rapp Announces Nearly $495,700 in EMS Grants Coming Home to Forest, McKean and Warren Counties
Rep. Kathy Rapp (R-Warren/Forest/McKean) announced today that 24 volunteer fire and ambulance companies throughout Forest, McKean and Warren counties have been awarded approximately $495,690.55 from a grant program administered by the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency and Office of the State Fire Commissioner.
“When you consider ever-increasing equipment costs, reduced volunteer recruitment and the simple fact that the average volunteer firefighter or emergency medical technician can spend nearly 80 percent of his or her time fundraising, securing this funding is absolutely critical for the overall effectiveness and ultimate survival of our local EMS providers and volunteer fire departments,” said Rapp.   “I will continue to use my role as your State Representative to assist these hometown heroes in their selfless efforts to save lives and keep our communities safe.”
